Antônio Plínio da Silva Alvim, better known as APSA (Antônio Carlos, Barbacena, October 18, 1920 - Tijuca, December 23, 2003), was a medium, philanthropist and an exponent of Spiritism. [1] Created in São João Del Rei with Catholic parents, baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Church.

At the age of 17 he moved to Rio de Janeiro to study, work and help his widowed mother raise and educate four younger sisters. His interest in the study of spirituality took place in 1961 , when he received as a gift from a Portuguese commercial representative, identified as Góes, The Gospel According to Spiritism [2] by Allan Kardec .

According to those closest to him, APSA had the feeling of a reunion with something he had already known in the past, a fact that awoke him in a violent way, given his reflections on life. Her routine was to read until 3 am with unrestrained joy and satisfaction. That was how he came to understand the fact that he did not accept other forms of religion , which did not have what he was looking for at the base. [3]

APSA began in the year 1961 and 1962 in a healing session, in the dim light of the Centro de Espírita Lar de Mistrael, under the chairmanship of his friend Osvaldo, the development of his 3rd vision ( Clairvoyance ), a presential environment that awoke him to the observation of bright , dark lights , colorful symbols and symbolic visions . [6]
The reunion with the teachings in the works of Ramatis [4] took place in 1962 , the phase of intense study of eclectic and universalist spirituality .

He became famous as a universalist, [note 1] expanding the studies of Spiritism , also known as the Spiritist Doctrine . He was a disciple of Ramatis, and one of the pioneers in the methodologies of spiritual treatments , delivering a traditional compendium of rotating cycles of 24 didactic lectures , for consolidation in spiritual care, covering an extensive biographical and humanitarian material.

Traveling to São Paulo , to participate in a spirit materialization meeting, at Centro São Geraldo, in Santana , when he left the Center, he was inspired and directed to the bookstore on Avenida Paulista , a bank where Ramatis books were on display, which they were seen with sympathy and attraction, acquiring in that environment some copies of those works.

Ramatis' works converged with the encounter of his way of feeling and seeing life - which guided the project to found an institution that had Jesus at its peak, Kardec as a base, being inspired by the spirit of Ramatis - thus forming what today it is the Ramatis Spiritist Society , a philanthropic institution specialized in spiritual treatments within the teachings preached by the Universalists for the convergence of the teachings of Jesus , Kardec and Ramatis .

WITH HERCÍLIO MAES
Antônio Plinio da Silva Alvim was encouraged by the accountant , lawyer and medium Hercílio Maes , [5] who psychographed the works of the spirit of Ramatis . APSA , has dedicated itself for decades in the advanced studies of mediumship , clairvoyance , psychometry among other phenomenologies from bioenergy and human psyche . [6] [7] The APSA's identified spiritual guides were Dr. Raphael de Bois - French physician and Dr. Atmos - Hindu . Dr. Atmos , the Hindu , is the spiritual guide with notoriety in the general direction of the groups linked to the Brotherhood of the Cross and the Triangle .
